Electrocomponents Destination 2025 branding flat lay

Electrocomponents are a global multi-channel distributor of electronic and industrial products and solutions. The business has been undergoing a period of rapid change and have recently undertaken a restructure. They approached PW with an employee engagement task: to help excite their people about the journey they are on.

By facilitating workshops with senior leaders, we interpreted the intricacies of the strategy Electrocomponents will be taking over the next five years. As a result, we directed the approach for communicating the priorities, objectives and initiatives the business needs to deliver. We communicated this to the board of directors through a Strategy Playbook – both as a printed document and a highly secure, interactive experience.

The next step was to update all employees on where the business is on their journey. We developed several materials based around a framework and narrative that captures the story of Electrocomponents, from past to present, and into the future. This included board games to support employee understanding and demonstrate the pivotal role each and every one plays in the success of the business. Playing the games helped employees to learn new information in a fun way. Silo mentalities were avoided by committing to collective actions that support and contribute to the strategy.
